For most conditions, Mr George-Malal would initially try non-operative treatment modalities including injections and physiotherapy to restore function and reduce any pain and discomfort. Surgery is often only required for a small minority of patients and will be advised if it is the most appropriate course of action.

Mr George-Malal diagnoses and treats conditions affecting the upper limbs, including the shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist. He specialises in treating shoulder impingement syndromes, frozen shoulder, instability and dislocations and rotator cuff tears. He treats nerve entrapment syndromes such as cubital tunnel syndrome and carpal tunnel syndrome and also manages sports injuries of the shoulder and elbow. Mr George-Malal is also an expert in performing arthroscopic shoulder and elbow surgery and complex joint replacement and revision surgery.
